JUDGE PLEADS WITH DONEGAL PUBLIC TO COME TO COURT TO SAVE THEIR HOMES

first_imgA judge has pleaded with people to turn up in court so he can help them save their homes from the banks.Judge John O’Hagan said he wants to help people keep their family homes but said he couldn’t help them unless they turned up in court.Judge O’Hagan told Letterkenny Circuit Court today that he wanted to do all he could to help families during the present economic climate. He was speaking has he dealt with a case brought by Irish Nationwide against a man who did not turn up in court.Judge O’Hagan said he would view any attempt to re-possess a family home very seriously.However he said “I know that people in cases like this are inclined to put their head in the sand. If people do that I can do nothing for them.“I won’t make orders against them if they come in to see me, but if they don’t, there is nothing I can do.”The Judge said he would make distinctions between family homes occupied by parents with children and investment properties.“People must face up to the problems they have. DANIEL’S HOLIDAY HOME ESCAPES TORNADO

first_imgDaniel O’Donnell has revealed how his holiday home in America was almost destroyed by a tornado.The millionaire singer has a luxury cabin in Bronsan, Missouri which he and wife Majella stay in each year.The are was hit by a huge tornado recently which caused devastation in the area wrecking hotels and houses. Daniel revealed his house is just three minutes walk from Highway 76 where the tornado hit but luckily it escaped with minor damage.“We saw the pictures of HWY 76 and could not believe the devastation it has caused. We only hope that things will get back to normal in the near future.“We have a home there but , thank God, we were very lucky and had very little damage. Our cabin is down in a hollow and I think that’s the reason it got away so lightly.
