Woman left badly shaken after car hijacked

first_imgA WOMAN WAS left badly shaken after her car was hijacked in Belfast yesterday.PSNI detectives are appealing for information following the hijacking of the car in the Dermont Road area of Newtownabbey on Saturday 23 February.They said that shortly before 6.40pm it was reported that an unknown male forced the female occupant out of her blue coloured Mazda 5 Sport car before driving off in it.The car was found burnt out in the Boghill Road area of Newtownabbey a short time later. The woman was not injured during the hijacking but was left badly shaken by her ordeal.The male is described as being approximately 5’6″ tall, well built and wearing a black-coloured hooded top.Police are asking anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any information to contact detectives at Newtownabbey on 0845 600 8000.If you would like to give information anonymously, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them on 0800 555 111.last_img read more
